PostSubject: Just Wanted To Say Hi   Fri Jan 13, 2012 5:12 pm

Good day everyone. I just wanted to pop by and see what's up. We got our second snow storm today, I got some shoveling in and it felt great. You know I think next time I go outside to shovel I'm putting some cotton in my nose. The treadmill is really paying off, not only did I feel good shoveling today but I went to the doctor on Tuesday to get my meds and my blood pressure was perfect. That's the first in a long time. How is everyone here doing, I hope you are all well, no nasty flus or colds

I've been really busy with tuts and I am learning so much about Paint Shop Pro, Photoshop and Daz Studios. I'm finding myself venturing into other types of learning. I was checking out Blender because they have an excellent animation program built in, plus they also have a game engine. But once I get Wintermute under my belt I'm going to stick with that.

Well I'm off to make the rounds. Just wanted to say hi and hope all is well. Take care everyone sunny

Hi StarLite Moon,
I used to wear a ski-mask back in the days when I shoveled snow. Now I live in a retirement highrise so no shoveling for me. I miss it, but do have more time for other things so I guess it's a trade-off.

Good morning fellow gamers. Well we have a beautiful sunny day today, but very cold. I could barely get the back door open to throw some nuts to the squirrels. I'm finding a plus side to them ripping up my screen door. I couldn't get the screen open this morning because it was frozen shut, so I threw the nuts through the hole in the screen. It finally stopped snowing last night. Hubby and I went out after our coffee and shoveled it again. Shoveling on a belly full of coffee isn't a good thing. We shoveled 3 times yesterday, but good thing we did. For one day we got quite a bit of snow

Win, chicken soup sounds so good, think I'll have some for lunch today

Hi Hats, I was very happy with the BP results. Today I'm going to up the speed on the treadmill. I really want to work my heart more. Now that we have the setup in the basement I want to start on some more exercises.

Mindysue, the hood on my jacket comes up to my nose, but a ski mask is a good idea unless the police show up looking for someone wearing the same clothes, then I'm in trouble.

Hubby is very upset today. He ruined his computer. You have to be careful with some of those programs you put on there. He put a new registry cleaner on his last night and it wiped his computer. He can't get Windows to load now. I couldn't believe it, there was absolutely nothing wrong with his computer, but he says he likes to try new things. This why I like sticking with the familiar. I told him don't ever try that on my computer. All my graphics programs and game work is on there. Well it's breakfast time, so I'm off. Take care everyone and have a great day sunny

Ouch , StarLite !

Sounds like hubby is in a bad way ! By chance , was the program in question Ccleaner ? Reason I ask , is I had a very similar experience with that program . Chicken soup does sound good ! We had some snow in my area the other day , but it's practically gone now .

Yes it did . That's the only time I've ever used Ccleaner . Nowadays , I use a combo of registry cleaners , from Auslogics & Tweak Now .

Hey Faust, how are things. No it wasn't Ccleaner, he can't remember the name, but started with Reg something???? I use Glary for cleaning up regs, I also use Revo for uninstalls because it will get rid of files stored in registries and files that are hidden. Then I use HiJackThis. He managed to get everything back to normal, my hubby is a wiz with everything. He cleaned up my old computer the other day, what a mess, it took 1 1/2 hours just to uninstall Photoshop alone. There was 183,000 files just in Photoshop alone, not to mention Paint Shop Pro, Daz Studios, Poser and Bryce and various other graphic programs, sound program etc.

Didn't get that chicken soup but the roast beef we had for dinner was to die for, everything was perfect right down to the Yorkshire pudding. Usually when I make a roast I throw in a few potatoes and we fry them up for breakfast the next day, tonight they didn't stand a chance. We left a few for breakfast tomorrow.

We need one more good luck thing, they say it comes in threes, now if only I could find a newspaper box for one of my game graphics. I wasted the day today looking for one and still didn't find it. Maybe I'll make one. The sun is still shining here and it's about sunset right now, it looks so beautiful shining through the window. They say it's supposed to rain and wash the snow away, it seems like a waste after all the shoveling we did

Well I'm off once again, take care everyone and stay warm sunny

Hey yourself !! I'm doing well enough . Take it one day at a time . The program your hubby used , was it Reg Cure ? Dad uses Glary Utilities , has for years . Myself , I haven't used it in quite some time . Myself , along with my firewall (Online Armor) & antivirus (UnThreat) , I use Malwarebytes & Hitman Pro for malware , Auslogics & TweakNow for registry cleaning , Cleanse uninstaller pro to uninstall (I use a 64 bit system . The free version of Revo will not work correctly on a 64 bit system) .

Roast beef sounds real good !

Hi Faust

Quote :

That's all you can hope for these days I guess. I like the line from Lisle Engle's song In This Life, "Be thankful for the dawn of the coming day".

I asked hubby about that reg cleaner, it's called Reg Seeker. I told him to be careful because the only Windows 7 we have is what came with our systems. I don't mess with computers, I have too much to lose. If I'm weary about something I always say no.

We have another beautiful sunny day, but cold, I could barely get the screen door open this morning to throw the nuts and seeds out. We're supposed to get rain tomorrow and the next day, I hope it doesn't freeze. One good thing, the city gives away free salt, we just have to find something to put it in. With the hole they left in my lawn they'd better give us something free. I envy my neighbor he has an ATV with a snow shovel on the front of it, snow removal is fun for him.

Well I'm off to make the rounds before working on my bookstore. Take care for now and keep warm sunny
