I just had to stop in and say hi. Any good news, anyone win the lottery, sell a game, strike it rich some other way, abducted by aliens

I hate being away so long but I'm so busy doing tutorials and modding at Dragon's Breath. They are having their Easter Advent and it is open to the public if any graphic artists would like to grab some free goodies over there. Not much other than that. My biggest nightmare is coming true, I was supposed to take time off to learn better graphics, well going through some of my pics for Hawk Manor noticed that now some of them don't fit in, so I'm going to redo some pics. Plus I've learned how to use the primitive planes in Daz to bring in my backgrounds and light them better. So I am learning. Glad you enjoy the pic, my girl may be up to casting a spell on someone. She still looks pretty good without lighting. This didn't work so well before so I'll give it another try let me know if it doesn't work for you. You can take a look at some of my other pics from my Daz lessons. Enjoy

Glad you like it Hats, I just wish I had thought to put one the pots I made on a campfire, that would have set the scene off. I'm going to revamp some of my game pics and I'm even working on revamping the opening scene of the game. I don't want to make the same mistakes I did with Roanoke. I very, very seldom click on a link in a post, but this time my curiousity overcame my caution, or whatever, and I chanced it. I'm glad I did as I enjoyed seeing the various models, tried to pick a favorite, but couldn't as they are all so very neat. The scene was really great too, I agree with hatshepsut on that one.

I'm glad everyone is enjoying the pics. I'm thinking of making another movie of the tutorials I've learned.

I never come close to winning lotteries either lakerz and it's so frustrating, when hubby brings home a ticket I just look at it as another bookmark

I've actually considered giving up game making, but then I gave my head a shake and came to my senses. I love doing it and aside from tuts it's the only hobby I have, plus it's all worth it when people enjoy playing them. I was supposed to work on my game today but got sidelined by ShareCG. Then when I tried to get my models to walk across the screen they were walking on their heels, so I'm going to have to try to figure that out. So when I revamp the beginning scene to Hawk Manor, I'll post a link of the video. I'm getting a little better at animation. I am trying to be more patient with learning. The characters walking on their heels probably wouldn't provide the right atmosphere for a horror game but it does sound funny

Good morning Hats, I hope your Easter was a happy one. I'm so full of ham I feel like I'm going to burst. We have enough ham to last 6 months

Well I got my response about my models walking on the heels and it was as I thought. Those models are not designed for Animate2. It's just that if I could have used the 3rd party models it would have cut down on a bit of work that I didn't want to do. Oh well. Once again I got sidelined by ShareCG, but today, I'm working on that game if it kills me. I want to get that video made. I've got just 5 800 x 600 scenes to make and that takes care of the big scenes. Then it's on to the small scenes and items, characters etc. I was a little worried about learning a new game engine but I've made a lot of friends who know how to use Wintermute and they offered their help

I'm so anxious to start on the next game. I have the opening scene made and the voices for it. Although before I do that I might finish my movie Desperate. There is so much to do, but unfortunately life keeps getting in the way. I had a bad eczema rash on my stomach which prevented me from sitting, then my back started bothering me which sets me back. Oh to be 20 again. Well I'm off to make the rounds. Take care for now

Well isn't that just the way it seems to happen...get something and work on then find out it won't work with something else. I have noticed that quite a few developers seem to be using Wintermute and seem to like it.

I am sorry to hear about your back. I hope it gets better. Ahhh yes to be 20 again. Such a trick of nature to feel 20 in the mind but the body definitly feeling a lot older.

Hey Hats, well I managed to get those feet working, it took me the whole day to figure it out, but now when I render my movie and play it back the characters are jerky, so now I have to try to figure that out. I'm beginning to see the advantages of patience, usually I get mad when something doesn't work then I get put off, but I have to remember that all of this is a big learning experience. Once I'm done with my Daz lessons I'm going to give Poser a try. I looked at their walk designer yesterday and fell completely in love with it. I'll have to see how their lipsyncing works. Well I'm off to make the rounds to see what kind of trouble I can get into. Take care for now

Oh, it says I need a newsletter subscription in order to get them. I don't think I want to bother - I still have photoshop and Bryce 5 (backed up somewhere in a disc).

Bryce is an excellent program. I love it. Hexagon is a bit of work trying to get acquainted with the controls but once you get the hang of it you can do some pretty amazing things with it.
