| Recently I did a reset of my Internet Explorer 8 Browser to see if it would speed things up (didn't) and now when I come to AP my pages look like this. I can't figure out how to correct it...any ideas? | |

| Hi JK
Thanks for the suggestion. I had already checked for that. I have no trouble with other web sites just Adventure Point. I am wondering if it has to with Macromedia or Flash Player. I updated the Adobe Flash Player with no results maybe I should check Macromedia.

| GreyFuss you might have to redownload your Flash Player. Did you log out and then log back in ? Did you check the homepage to see if it looks ok ?

| That used to happen to me on Just Adventure. It was either a Flash or a Java issue. It lasted a few weeks GreyFuss but, to be honest, I don't remember how I sorted it but I did. Sorry. My memory aint what it was. Uuuuurgh! | |

| So I take it GF that you tried the solutions for not being able to see pictures on a specific website (mid-page)?
What exactly did you do with your browser?

| I am sure you have already reenabled your HTML and smilies in preferences but thought I would throw that out there anyway. | |

| Thanks for the suggestion Miss Ang
The HTML was off in my preferences but turning it on didn't change anything. I don't think I will ever Reset IE 8 again. Not only am I getting this but it didn't help with the original problem of a buggy Back button. I wonder if uninstalling IE 8 and reinstalling would help. I am worried that if I did that it would screw up everything on other sites too let alone the hundreds of favorite sites I have stored.

| You could always back up your favorites, GF.
Interestingly, I just uninstalled IE9 due to a buggy back button. (I'd have to hit it twice most of the time to get it to work.) IE9 was also incompatible with my Magentic program.
Reinstalling IE8 may help. Have you deleted your temporary internet files? A couple of sites suggested that.

| @ Winfrey
Yes, I think I will download Firefox and see what that looks like.
@JK
Thanks for the suggestions and sorry to hear about your IE9. That is what originally was happening with my IE8 along with some button on other web sites just not working...like at JCPenny.com. You must have Vista or Win 7 if you had Win 9...right? I normally delete all internet files a few times a week or whenever I think of it. I think I will see what Firefox will do for this site and the others and if the back button is quirky.

| I wasn't that thrilled with IE9 anyway, GF. It just moved the tabs. I tend to like my toolbars etc to show, so by the time I was done with it , it resembled IE8 anyway. Except for that annoying bottom of the screen popup that asking me if I wanted to disable add-ons to make things faster. | |

| Thanks Ang
Tried that but it said nothing had changed to the system. However I tried this site and some of the others that I was having difficulty with in a new Firefox browser and everything looks correct. Even loading faster as news sites, like Yahoo and my local newspaper, had been getting very slow due to all the Facebook and other media crap being loaded. Wish there was a way to stop that if you don't participate. The only thing I "LIKE" is for the social media to go away. So it looks like I will play around with this browser and see if I can alter it enough to like it. Been using IE since its inception...don't always like change when it means more work for me. Some add on or something must have been eliminated when I Reset the IE 8 browser for it not to work like it did before. Think if I get use to FireFox enough I will uninstall IE 8 and do a complete, fresh, new install.

| My husband and son cannot stand IE. They use Firefox. I have it on my laptop. I am thinking about getting rid of ignoring IE on my desk top and using FF. I hope you don't have any more problems.

| IE9 will only work on Vista and Windows 7. It is worth getting used to for the enhanced security fixes alone. I don't use it - I use Firefox - and like Firefox much better. I am rather liking the new IE10 on Windows 8.
And, Ang, you really can't "get rid of" IE. It is very tightly integrated into your OS. However, I just deleted the icon and only use either Firefox or Chrome.
Greyfuss, you can't stop a lot of the crap from loading, but if you don't like all the tracking they do, I've been using Do Not Track Plus for about a year now... great little add-on.
