Didn't you forget to draw a line through "torture" and substitute a friendlier word? Personally, I found out some time ago those tournaments are way over my head so I won't be entering, but I wish everyone who does LOTS OF LUCK.

mindysue... you should check it out anyway.... ya never know... it is fun... and you can skip over the parts that are too hard... come on down...

I don't think I'm destined to enter the tournament as I get a red General Error message when I click on the link.

Everyone is getting that error Mindy. Looks like the whole site is that way. Would be a bad time for them to get hacked again.

What can one expect from this tournament?

Lady Kestral should be able to really give you a good tutorial on what to expect. What I can tell you is that it is fun and will test your memory of adventure games. They use to have a link at Mystery Manor that archived past Tournaments so you can get an idea of what they are like but I can't find it. Lady K....where is it???

The server was down for most of today, which had some of us in a panic because it's so close to the tournament. All seems to be well now. Fingers crossed that it stays that way.

We keep the previous tourney puzzles, etc. in the forum until about a month before the new one, then we hide them away in the sub-basement. We do have other archived game information, just not the tourneys anymore, except for our reference so we can avoid duplications.

We have a variety of screenshot and word puzzles of varying difficulty all related to adventure games. The rules are posted in the Fall Tournament section and should give you a pretty good overview. Even if you don't place for the top 3 prizes, you'll be eligible for a random drawing if you give it your best shot every week. The main thing, though, is to have fun. Although Quizmaster looks fierce, he doesn't bite. (Well, hardly ever.) Come by on Sunday and check it out.
