The thing is, see, I innocently googled "Darkstar the interactive movie walkthrough" (I recall I was hopelessly stuck in the labyrinth) and with there being individuals with questionable morals on the net and such it's hard not to see what pops up.

Thanks for the great intro, but nope, I'm just like you guys. Love all this stuff and one day got the bug to put something out there. I'm so glad to see this adventure community thriving so much, without people like this all over the world, Darkstar would never have had a chance.

You mean Dark Star is released as both a game version and a movie version?

If so, may I tell you guys that I bought Darkstar (pc game) a while back (possibly in 2010 or 2011) so in case there's a movie version, will I be entitled to it?

EDIT - maybe I was wrong about it being released as game and a movie version, but I reread the announcement and saw that that there is a full color strategy guide (is this a complete, printed book) that would be snail mailed to our house if I can locate my email of the DarkStar invoice/order form and give you guys my info for this free stuff in addition to the digital version of the strategy guide?

Oh, wait - I reread the GF's post and found that, yes, there's actually a Darkstar the motion picture out, and yes, I'd like to get this stuff, if it's all free, just for my having bought darkstar.


EDIT 2 - searched, and re-searched my email inbox but could not find an email about me buying DS from Jeff's website. Finally tracked myself to an old thread here at AP where I posted that I bought DS from Amazon where GF replied that no I did not make a mistake buying DS from amazon, so am I still eligible for this free stuff?

In case I'm not eligible for this stuff since I bought DS from amazon, is there any way i can still get it, and for what price - do I have to buy the movie and the strategy guide (book) separately and for how much each?

perhaps this was the mistake I made by not buying the game from Jeff's website?

I just received my DarkStar, Limited Edition, signed, Black Box and I love it. Especially the signed 8x10 glossy’s of the cast. Mmmmm Beez McKeever. Very professionally done, I am impressed. I also love the full Soundtrack.

A couple of things I would like to point out for those who have ordered the Black Box or are thinking about ordering...the 2 Cd Soundtrack set is located inside the German Edition of DarkStar. The Disks are in English.

It should also be noted that the German Version: Lace Mamba Global only produced the packaging and booklet of the German version of DarkStar in German. The game itself is in English with no subtitles. So you really have 2 copies of the game inside the Black Box.

I can only imagine how much DarkStar could have generated with all these goodies if Kickstarter would have been around back then.

abz all the Dark Star merchandise is bieng offered at a reduced prize. It is not free. As has been stated at several forums lately our indies have been greatly cheated over the years so let's make the effort to support them.

Just for clarification, if you own the game just pay a visit to the store website fill out the information and request the strategy guides (an extremely detailed walkthrough) and Jeff will happily provide you with a link at no cost.

Thanks for the clarification on the walkthrough Camaro I have both walkthroughs and they are very nice especially the one with graphics

Honestly, anyone who has even the slightest interest in this style of adventure game should do themselves a favor and order a copy. While I haven't come close to finishing it, I've thoroughly loved every hour so far in my play through. I like it so much that I refuse (at least so far) to cheat and look at a walkthrough to make more progress. We'll see how long I can keep saying that LOL. The last game I liked so much that I insisted on not ruining a single puzzle via walkthrough was Shivers.
