Wow, that was fast I just posted it. Glad you like it Hats, hope you have a wonderful day. I'm fighting with hubby over what to have for a dessert tomorrow. He wants to get me a cheesecake but I want something we could both enjoy, I'm thinking apple pie, I hear Costco has great apple pies and huge ones. I'll let you know how the fight turns out   

Apple pie is so good. Just plain or with vanilla ice cream or whip cream or a slice of cheddar cheese. Let us know what you decided on

Well it looks like the apple pie won hands down and it was sooooo gooood, although a bit pricey. Hubby paid $5.00 cdn for a small pie, he was kicking himself that he didn't get the bigger pie, but that one cost $10.00. Everything here is so expensive. I told him we should have just bought a few apples and made Apple Spice Bars.

We've been having a run of bad luck this week with our meals, 3 this week alone. Tonight's dinner was good and tomorrow's is going be even better, we're having Lasagne with Garlic bread, can't wait. It's getting late here so I'm off to bed soon, take care everyone and make sure there's no holes in that canoe Harold   

Lasagne that sounds really good. It's one of my favorites. Are you making it or getting frozen ?

No no Hats, I make my own Lasagna right from scratch, well not totally, I use canned tomatoes, Ragu sauce and store bought noodles. We just finished up the last of it tonight and it was sooooo gooood. Tomorrow's menu is oven baked spareribs, maybe shaved potatoes, maybe not, see how we feel

I like to make my own too. The frozen just doesn't have enough cheese for me. Are shaved potatoes the same as shredded hash browns?

It's too late now, but maybe for next year? About the cheesecake/apple pie fight...I think for Mother's Day you should have the cheesecake, StarLite Moon, and then get the apple pie for Father's Day. Fair enough!

There's only one problem with the cheesecake fight Mindysue, hubby doesn't like cheesecake, so that would leave me eating the whole thing myself and by the time I get through half of it, I'm sick of cheesecake. Although I could freeze it, but that still leaves hubby out. Actually the cheesecake would have been a better deal, I can't believe how expensive everything is getting in this country. We just ordered a box of Zatarain's pilaf rice from Amazon, we can only get Dirty Rice and Black Bean here. Dirty rice is good, not a big fan of the black bean. Can't wait till that gets here. Yum, yum, yum!!!! Have a great day everyone
