Although it's been almost 2 years since I finished (started a few, but didn't finish) an IF game, I still love them. Favorites: 1893, The 2 Muldoon games, Lost New York, Jigsaw. Adventure/mysteries all. I've liked a couple of Emily Short's older games, but she seems to be more interested in experimental IF, and I'm more old-school. The longer, the more difficult, the better. And heavy on the puzzles, please. I noticed that you mention Anchorhead on your home page. I liked the game enough, but I didn't think it was as scary as a few of the reviews I've read claimed it was.

Hi! I'm by no means a Text Adventure veteran, but I did think Anchorhead was excellent, and I was (unusual for me), pretty spooked by the absorbing story and ominous atmosphere. I've played Metamorphoses by Emily Short. I thought that was a cracking game. Very clever. Floatpoint was pretty good, but City of Secrets is supposed to be excellent. I haven't played that.
