Sick & Tired Of The Same Old T.V. Shows and Movies?

If you could pick a tv show or movie to YOUR liking, what would you pick?
Movie wise, I think producers need to give some NEW script writers a shot. Movies are either re-makes of something, or the same idea with different actors.
Sitcoms, are boring these days. We need some fresh actors for tv that are really FUNNY! I'd pick comedy for tv.
Movies need more Sci-Fi and Suspensful thrillers.

What would YOU like to see?

Mystery Lover that's why I don't watch TV, everything is either boring or just the same or both. I would like to see some good sci fi and some para normal. Something with a good twist. I would like to see some shows like the old Twilight Zone or Kolchak. Or more shows on ancient civilizations on Discovery. Something like the old Digging Up the Truth. sigh with Josh of course lol

I agree with this comment.. I miss the tweak the mind kinda show.. Twilight Zone and One Step Beyond.
And if we are going to have sitcom's how about some with good old fashion morals!! Instead of all this violence and sex. No wonder kids think it's ok to have sex at an early age-- we are showing them that on TV. Oh yea and let's kill or make bloody anyone that gets in our way too.

Your sore point is one of the main reasons our tv is off more than it's on.

Tv...blahhh...I hardly watch anymore...I am a big fan of horror and comedy..and neither is on tv anymore...before I get bombarded about horror...let me explain..I loved the horror of older days that really had a thrilling story line and was spooky...not the hack and slash of today like Jason...blahhh...everything today is blood gore and no story..all the comedies are a thing of the past...no more movies like Money Pit...Beatle Juice...and soooo many more I can't think of off the top of my head...every thing now is either gore or police shows...don't get me wrong...I love CSI and Crime Scene Investigation...but come on...enough is enough...I want good funny comdedy and real horror movies and not some guy running amock with an axe!

I Love Horror and Comedy as well. I love anything with mystery in it too. I think there some good horror movies today. I agree, movies like "Saw" are just disgusting. But Silence of the Lambs was good, but I admit the FIRST Halloween was scary. I love anything to do with haunted houses or vampires!
Then I need a good comedy to make me laugh and forget how scared I am! LOL!

Mystery Lover...I so agree...I forgot all about Silence of the Lambs....but I don't see any new ones that are good anymore....I want a couple really good horror movies...like the first Exorcist...and Mothman Prophecy..I loved that!...

Very nteresting topic.
I loved the old Twilight Zone, Night Gallery, Night Stalker and also the newest one -Moonlight - which they took off t.v. but I hear they might be putting it back on with all the original cast since they put the show on the syfy (why couldnt' they have kept it scifi) channel and people have been watching it.
Other than that - my husband and I watch NCIS, Cold Case, and these reality shows - Survivior, Amazing Race, Big Brother, America's Got Talent, and also like Diners Drivie-ins & Dives, as well as Househunters. Property Virgins. Oh yeah and sometimes Monster Quest. We also watch some other stuff, but these are our main shows. Used to watch CSI but it just wasn't the same with all the changing actors etc.
Comedy - Everyone Loves Raymond is one of my favorites. Used to watch 2.5 Men but the show just isn't as good as it used to be IMHO And of course a lot of the older shows were great. Hollywood has run out of ideas.

Night Stalker use to be one of my favorite shows. Why did they change it to SyFy ? I like SciFi better. I watch Cold Case too and I like Criminal Minds. I've started watching Survivor. I used to watch CSI too till Grissom left.

Syfy looks so stupid.
Yes, CSI was great until his co-worker/girlfriend left then he left and then it just went down hill from there.
Survivior & Amazing Race is great. Oh yeah and we started watching another show that is on right after Amazing Race - Undercover boss and I must say it's a great show.
And I forgot about Pawn Stars which is on, I think, the history channel. The old man just cracks us up. And we think Chumbly is there strictly as the stooge so to speak. You know darn well they wouldn't have anyone stupid working for them - even if he is Corey's high school chum.
