| Thanks for the update GreyFuss. I have this game on my waiting list.
I am looking at the first three Rhem's sitting in my to play pile. That solitary exploration and puzzle solving is looking very inviting. I think I'll move them to the top of the pile.

You must not favor the first person, solo exploration, point & click games then. Rhem is in a class all by itself. Visually it can't compare to any of the Myst games and the only story is you, the player, trying to find a way out of Rhem. Knut Muller is a genius in logical and mechanical puzzling. Note taking is a must along with diagrams, drawings and the the Print Screen button is your friend. Rhem 3 was the most note taking for me with ten pages of notes and drawings and almost 20 print images. Things you see don't always make sense until sometime later. I reckon it took me 40 hours of game play for each game to complete and in each game I need one push in the right direction from UHS hints. I love them and all 3 are in my top 20.
This is supposed to be the end of the Rhem series and if it is I sure hope it is not the end of Mr Muller making games as I love how his mind bring things together. I will be the first in line to buy any other game this master developer's.

| Hi GreyFuss. You're right in thinking I haven't played many solo exploration games of that exact type. But, that's not anything to do with them not being my type of game. It's purely because I have always - and I mean always - played games with my children (not really children now), sitting alongside, and their patience for such brain twisters has been stretched at times. That's why I've never completed Riven - BUT I will! We got to the point where I was still loving the 'go away and really think about it' situations, but that's no good when you've two young 'uns tugging at your shirt tails for progress. I was on the verge of giving in to them and resorting to a walkthrough when I said "Stop!", and picked up Toonstruck instead. A contrast of vast proprtions, I'm sure you'll agree. I love what I call Lateral Thinking problems, Cryptic crosswords and riddles of all sorts. So, when I play a game like Riven (or, probably, Rhem for that matter), I may not fly through it (NO WAY!), but I love the thrill of the agony, followed by the ecstacy .... if you know what I mean. That's why I'd rather struggle on for days than look at a walkthrough. I would resort to UHS if really, really stuck, but the satisfaction of 'the solve' is what it's all about, isn't it? | |

| Gelert you are so right. That solve moment is what it's all about. There just isn't anything sweeter than that aha moment after days of agonizing over a puzzle.

| I've only played Rhem---- but I LOVED it-- and yes it was hard for me-- but I did not mind at all. I was lost most of the time until the very end-- of course I get lost alot-- I am never the leader on a hiking trail . Looking forward to placing this game in my to be played pile and yes- I hope to get to all of my to be played games--- which are many | |

| Miss Winfrey
I have seen both yours and Hatshepsut's list of "To Be Played" games and I am not so sure you will ever finish it but what a way to go. You both have so many, many great adventures to experience and am envious of the fantastic voyages yet to be had by the games you have yet to play.

| Yes so many lovely adventures and voyages sitting in my to play pile. I sometimes wonder too if I will ever get all of them played. Especially since I seem to have the habit of aquiring more games at a shockingly faster rate than what I play them. So many games so little time. I currently have 202 games in my to play pile. I'll work on a list. Ok I heard that snickering from the shadows. I'll just list a few that I think I'll be playing in the near future.
Phantasmagoria 1 and 2 Shivers 1 and 2 Amber Amerzone The Tex Murphy's The Blackstone Chronicles Sanitarium

| Hi winfrey, You have alot of the same games that I have in your to play pile. I noticed that you have played alot of the same games that I've played too. You have a nice web page. I've thought of getting a web page several times to show my games. I just have such a bad habit of putting things like that off.

| I am definitely looking forward to Rhem 4! Bless Knut that he has made every game for both Win and Mac.
When I played Rhem on my then-new iMac, I couldn't see the images on the button screens, but I could hear the sounds. I emailed Knut about it, and he actually went down to his local computer store the next day and did some trouble shooting for me, then emailed me the fix. For that kind of service, I'll buy any game the man makes. I hope he has other projects in mind after this series.
