Back-Up Drives Empty
PostSubject: Back-Up Drives   Back-Up Drives EmptySun Oct 31, 2010 6:54 pm

I loved my previous Back-Up Drive because it was so easy to use. Maxtor OneTouch 4 Plus. Not only would it back up the entire PC when I scheduled it weekly it had a button on the front that when pushed would immediately back up the drive. This drive saved my life when my working computer at the time went belly up. Well it went belly up because of this back up drive. After the computer died I learned that this drive was known to create Blue Screens of Death which it did to the other computer and the new computer I transfered everything to. Once I got rid of it from the new computer the BSOD disappeared. Needless to say that drive went into the trash. I did manage to get the other computer up and running after getting rid of the drive on that one too.

Sorry for the long story but I am now looking for another External Back-Up drive that is as easy to use with backup software. I don't need a big one as I keep a clean PC so a 300 or 500 GB is way more than I need and I only wish to use it for backing up everything on my main computer not saving games or using at as a second hard drive. Any suggestions???

Hi Faust

Thanks for that link. I will check into to see if it has an easy to use backup interface.
