| I am currently playing the updated version of A Quiet Weekend in Capri, part of the Mysteries of Capri release. I am playing in adventure mode but have yet to find an adventure or a mystery. All I have been doing is running around the island running errands for other people and I am supposed to be on holiday for the weekend. There is really no story. Does this game have an adventure and mystery? The photos are beautiful and the game world is huge but without knowing the plot I seem to be losing interest fast. Any comments from those who have played? | |

| GreyFuss I haven't played the game but here's exerpt from the original game 'As a tourist visiting the enchanting Isle of Capri for the first time, you are unexpectedly transported into a mysterious scenario, no longer certain of where you are or which way to turn. Regaining your senses, you begin to explore the island, encountering interesting characters and intriguing clues. You wander through magical gardens, seashores, churches, monuments, villas, and old Roman ruins. To unravel this mystery, you must utilize strange inventions by an eccentric island scientist, along with your own deductive reasoning.'
And a Review from Mr.Bill.

| I have played it, but I don't remember a lot of it. I found it very unclear what I was supposed to be doing and used a walkthrough most of the time.
Although Anacapri has an even bigger gameworld I enjoyed that one much more. You're still a bit of an errand boy, but there is more guidance (not always good, but here it is), a nicer unraveling of the background story and I liked the puzzles better. When my kids saw me working on the riddle-of-the-sphinx puzzle they brought in pen and paper to join, and they have never done that before. Finished it almost without wt (but not quite).

| LOL I am not sure my game is the same as the Hatshepsut's quote above. I wasn't mysteriously dropped on the island, I took a boat and I thought I was a tourist but find the my Mother and Uncle live here, I have a job and a boss. The only thing I have been doing for much of the 2 hours plus so far is meeting a few people and running errands for them. - Spoiler:
The only bit of mystery I have run into so far is down some roads there is a strange force field preventing me from going that way and a beacon off in the distance that I could check out further if I had some coins for the tourist telescope. But even though I have paper money and have been to several businesses that could make change I can not get any coins.
The Island is big with plenty of scenery but without knowing a purpose I don't know if I can continue. Just like a book or movie, if you don't know what its about near the beginning I lose interest. Not long after posting this thread I did load up AnaCapri and like Ang and HandsFree stated I like it a lot better as you are lead into the plot right away and so far everybody I have talked to has something to do with that and I am not going running on errands that don't pertain to the plot. Think I will stick with AnaCapri for now.

| So far AnaCapri is way more interesting than the little I played of A Quiet Weekend in Capri. I probably go back to Weekend at some point but for now I am wrapped up in AnaCapri. | |
