Viva Media announced today their acquisition of Gray Matter for North America retail release.
Gray Matter is scheduled to release online and in retail in February 2011
Gray Matter is the first adventure game by author Jane Jenson since the release of Gabriel Knight 3. The story mixes eerie supernatural events in best Jenson style. One of the central characters, Dr. David Styles, lost his wife in a terrible accident several years before. He has since become a recluse seldom leaving Dread Hill House, his English country estate.
American Samantha Everett, student and part time street entertainer, has been traveling Europe when she ends up on Dr. Styles doorstep and becomes his his assistant. Her first task is to find six test subjects from the Oxford university. The experiment starts off innocently enough , but then inexplicable incidents start to mount.
Players control both Dr. Styles and Samantha in their bid to uncover the secrets and find the truth. Gray Matter tackles questions concerning the nature of reality and the power of the human mind in constructing the world we take for granted.
