Need help with Deponia

I'm completely stuck after Rufus launched into orbit and landed (if that's the word) hanging by his foot caught in a chain. He gets himself rolled up in the chain and then gets untangled somehow (not sure how it happened, but it's progress so I'm happy) and now he is near 3 junk chutes. There is a grating that he needs to open, but he needs a bolt cutter, which I thought should be in the suitcase, but doesn't seem to be, only found socks and provisions, which are now in inventory. Off to the side there are 3 tiny levers but Rufus isn't ready to use them, so no help there. How about help here?

I got a hint from MaG's walkthrough at GB about the middle hatch, which I overlooked because it was open and also because the hand icon never showed, just the eye icon. That led me astray. I'm once again making progress. Rufus has rescued Goal and they are back to the junk-pile planet, where she is asleep and Rufus and Gizmo are trying to wake her. I don't think I'm stuck ... yet!

For the offers of help, but I finally threw in the towel and printed out the GameBoomer walkthrough by MaGtRo. Making the coffee to wake up Goal is just too much of a hassle as the recipe makes no sense to me. I'm needing help practically every step of the way. I did try to do one puzzle by myself, but discovered I was too far ahead in the game and needed to do other things first, so back to the walkthrough.

I finally gave up on Deponia. Even with the walkthrough helping me all the way, I reached a point where I couldn't make any progress. The Deponia post office totally defeated me!

Sorry to hear it mindysue. That has happened to me a few times. It's realy irritating to get so far in a game and then get stopped like that.
