| Really happy to see that Capri Connection is ready for release Gey but I am sorry to say that I won't be able to play your new game even though I am excited to play. You see I went to your site today to buy a Digital Download of The Capri Connection and in order to do that I have to give up quite a lot of personal information which I will not do. For a Digital Download all that should be necessary is and Email address for confirmation and Download and PayPal. Sure you say that the information will not be used for anything else...so why ask for it? You can not be too safe with your information anymore as the scammers and spammers are ready to pounce. Just ask some of the big time retailers and recently Ebay about information hackers. That kind of information is only needed for physical items only. Too bad for me as I was so looking forward to once again visiting the Beautiful Isle of Capri. | |

| Dear Greyfuss,
The information requested are only needed in case we need to help you in case something goes wrong. For example, if for some reason the download doesn't happen, we can modify the order sending a disk to your address. We are indie developers creating games mostly for our satisfaction to create and for the pleasure of people wanting to play our game. We don't need to spam or other stupid things. If you are a true adventure gamer, you should care of the quality of the game, how much is innovative, all in all, how happy are you and satisfied after solving all quizzes and getting to the end of the adventure. In any case, if you don't like to give your personal information for any reason, just don't do it. That's it. There are plenty of players who just today are enjoying running THE CAPRI CONNECTION. You... just stay at the window, if you like to do so. No problem.

| I see your point. Perhaps to make it optional would be good for more cautious folk, like Greyfuss. Either way, I'm sure it's a cracking game. Congratulations on its completion and good luck with your sales. | |

| In the order there is a general form where all information is needed for all games requiring physical shipments. If Dreyfuss and other poeple like him don't want to put their name, address and phone number, they can just write in a nickname, a fake address and a dummy phone number. The system doesn't make any control on the correctness of this information. I don't use nor even read these information if I don't need it for shipment. Dreyfuss can use a nickname invented for the moment, ********* in the address and other fields, 333333333333333 in the phone number field. Only his e-mail is needed otherwise I can't tell him how to download the game. So I don't understand his critique at all. | |

| Hi Gey
Nice of you to get back with me on this issue but let me make it perfectly clear...I am NOT critiquing your game, your past games, your passion to make these games or if you are an small Indie company. On the contrary, I am well aware of you games and the two of you who make them. I have been a loyal follower for many years and frequented your web site often to how you are doing. If that is what you thought or how I came across then I apologize, it is not what I meant. Maybe something was lost in the translation. In fact I have the utmost respect for both of you and the personal work you have put into these games. The problem is also not with you and how you use the information as I trust in the fact that you would misuse it. No, the problem is with all the scammers spammers, and cheats out there that may be able to steal and use that information for their own benefit. How easy is that?...just ask some of the big business retailers that hackers have stolen 1000's of peoples information from and recently Ebay was hit with hackers too. No, to be safe in this new technology world one has to do all they can to protect even the smallest bits of personal information and give nothing away if its not necessary. Now that you have described how to circumvent the information for those buying the Digital Download then I am on board with giving you my screen name and Email address for the download. Thank you for that. Maybe you could give that advice on that info page that only those buying the physical items have to fill out completely but digital downloader need only enter a name and Emal address and all other fields can be completed with an asterisk. At any rate I am on my way over to your site to buy The Capri Connection and look forward to visiting the Isle again.
Cheers GreyFuss

| Thank you fro your kind words. Your idea to tell people to write only e-mail address and a nickname is great. I am going to modify the website immediately. Finally, talking with people is always rewarding... every opinion has the right to be expressed and every ear is there to listen, learn and finally solve the issue. Thank you again, Dreyfuss! | |

| That's a nice solution to bypassing having to input personal information just for the digital download.
Congrats on the Capri Connection release! A very nice achievement!
Are there any plans to try to get this game on some of the established digital download sites like Steam/Gamersgate/GOG/Desura?
