DarkStar now available from the DarkStar Web Site for $29.95 on 2 DL DVDs. Strange I thought it was to come on 6 DL DVD's. I got mine with an Order # 35. Wanted to be first but I slept in. What order # are you?

Looks pretty sweet GF ! Any idea what the system requirements are ?

I thought I had the requirements but can't seem to find them. I do know that the initial release is for Windows XP/Vista/7 and Mac OS.

Checked out their FaceBook page and it looks like the Nov 5th release is for the download and physical game (6 DL-DVD's + 1 regular DVD)

Doesn't the story sound a bit familiar? I mean that in "Schizm 2:Chameleon" you wake up after hundreds of years in cryogenic sleep , with no memory at all and you find yourself onboard a derelict spacecraft orbiting a planet ruined by centuries of war and you find out that you are the "One" who will end the war and bring peace and...well , whatever...I 'll buy it anyway! It's been such a long time since I played a good sci-fi adventure (the last one I played was "Perry Rhodan:Myth of the Ilochim" almost two years ago).

Sci-fi AG's are my favorite!

$29.95 is a nice price given how much work has been put into DarkStar by this point and considering the packaging costs. I'll be buying a boxed version right away.

I agree with you, Lakerz. Boxed version for me, too.

$30 isn't bad, especially for a shining game like this. But since it's going to be shipped to selected stores here in the US, I don't know if it will be shipped to the local Best Buys/WalMart in West Mifflin?

I wonder if I should buy my boxed copy at Amazon in Dec/Jan or wait until Feb to buy it locally? How rare/hard to get (as boxed copy) is it going to be?

From looking at the game's website, they will be providing a list of stores that are supposed to stock the game. The website is also selling boxed copies directly in addition to digital downloads. I'll probably just buy a copy directly from the website, since that is (I think) the most profitable avenue for them.

Not ordering DS yet b/c # 1, I don't want to have to pay full price for a game when I can either get it much cheaper from a forum member 6 months/2 years later or trade for it, and # 2, I'm spending $25 to get a M.O. to send to Rainbowgirl for a bunch of older games, plus I just bought Azreal's Tear on Amazon several hrs. ago, so I want to save my $$ for other expenses;

Looks interesting. But it will cost $15 to get it posted to me. Any thoughts on the game GreyFuss?

That was exactly my thoughts when I first got the game but I am glad to say that this is to whole game. The following is an email response to me from Jeff to that very question of whether this is the full game or not...

hi GF..How far into it are you? It took me a bit ..but found the ladder and fixed the thingy for the purple door to open. Before that ...I was going around in circles pressing this and that for awhile ...Geesh.
