I am really curious about what the game could be too. I got a good laugh from Gelert's game guess also. That frog does seem vaguely familiar though.

I thought my clues were pretty good.

1. The main character is the king of something humans evolved from. If you believe it, that is.
2. "You might find this adventure game is "obscure". Could be a challenge." - This means it has been discussed in the Obscure Adventure Games topic.
3. There is another character in the game. He is a pig.

I think it's a cutscene from "Ghost in the Sheet". It's been quite some time since I played it (it was released 3-4 years ago) and I can't really remember this particular picture but the B&W style is characteristic of the cutscenes in that game.

...the “Great British Adventure”, a superb point-and-click adventure game by Divide By Zero, the same guys who gave us “Innocent until Caught” and “Guilty”.

Here is the next shot. Could be a difficult one. I know a few of you own it though.

Here's a shot from an old adventure game that should be well-known among seasoned fans of the genre.

My first thought was The Dig but I don't remember a girl. The room map feature in the lower left looks familiar. Games like this are way before my time so I think this one is for the older...ahem...seasoned vets.

I think it's the game I just bought from Rainbowgirl: Guilty.

Well done HandsFree, it is indeed “Guilty”, the second and –unfortunately- last chapter in the series of sci-fi adventures starring Jack T. Ladd, adventurer and gentl... actually not so much of a gentleman! It’s an excellent point-‘n’-click adventure of the mid-90s that was only released for the PCs, unlike its prequel, “Innocent until Caught” that was also available on the Amiga.

The designers, Divide by Zero, had the ingenious idea to allow you to play as two different characters (in the screenshot you play as Ysanne Andropath but you could also choose Jack) and watch two versions of the same story! Depending on the character you’d select at the beginning, you would have different objectives and you’d visit different parts of the various locations, meet different NPCs, find entirely different puzzles and items. You practically had 2 games in 1!

Yes, I know it...but I can't take a guess because I don't know how to post a screenshot. I know there is a jail cell in the corridor to the right, behind the bulletin board. I spent quite a bit of time in that scene! It is the second game in a series that will have a third sequel coming out, according to Deep Silver. I suppose I could be wrong here, so don't take my word for it.

Oh I do think you're right mindysue. Should have recognized it as a much newer game.

In any case if you are unable to post your own shot I believe that it is acceptable to pass it to anyone else that has one available. Uhm, that's OK here right?

BTW I can't find Innocent Until Caught in the AP database... An omission, or does it have an alternative title?
