Might not be around much for awhile/back home

I just thought I would let you know that if you don't see me posting it is because I am going back to California Saturday morning for 10 days. My Mother has breast cancer and is going into the hospital on Monday..... Keep her in you thoughts and prayers as I will.
If and when I get a chance I will drop in..... til then

Hey Winfrey, wishing you and your mom well, from a fellow Californian.

Mother did quite well. She had the operation on Monday around 2:30 they gave her a private room so I could stay over night with her. We brought her home yesterday afternoon. We even went out for lunch this afternoon. But would you believe it...... it snowed!!!! And it is 70 in Tennessee this week..... hmmmmmm......

But it snowed !!!!! Another one of those things that make you go hmmmm.
It was a very nice spring like day today here where I live.

Hey Win, I'm so glad mum did good. Hard to believe she went out for lunch the next day. It's amazing what doctors can do these days. When I had my lumpectomy they actually botched my surgery and I still went home that day. If all had gone well, it would have only taken 3 hours. I'm so glad all did go well, give mom a big hug from us all

Are you telling me it snowed in California? I'm in Canada and it is warm and sunny here today, I went out to get the garbage buckets today without a coat, but it is supposed to get cold next week and more snow. Well hubby says bring it now that he has his new snow blower, I still prefer to shovel.

I made it back home last night... my luggage made it this afternoon around 3pm. But at least it made it. Mother is doing very good. Glad I got back it is suppose to snow Friday in California and I might have been stuck.... now to do laundry

I don't get it. Aren't the Airlines charging quite a bit of money to check baggage now? Shouldn't that equate to better service for your luggage?

One would think, but in this case mine was a carry on. The problem is now that they charge to check luggage everyone carries multiple bags on and even though you are told not to put more than one on top. one on top and one under the seat. Some people don't play by the rules and I was group 6 row 9 one of the last to get on .... the overhead bins were full and they took the remaining 10-12 people who were getting to their seat and took their luggage. As I was getting off I saw a couple of people pull off more than one bag.... from the overhead bin.... was not a happy camper. I would rather they increase the tickets of all than to charge for luggage.. it causes all sorts of issues.... oh don't get me started...... Where's my private jet anyway? Why can't I just click on the map and be there.......

winfrey glad to here you made it home safe . I don't know how poeple can so blatantly break the rules with carry on bags. But I'm glad you got your luggage finally.

Glad you have nice weather at home. It is supposed to sleet and snow where I live tomorrow. After several days of beautiful spring weather.
