| Check this out folks. It looks good. And only 6 Euros. ASA : A Space Adventure (an Adventure game from Simon Mesnard) 'ASA Description At the beginning, it's a short film I made in september 2011, which received quite a lot of good reviews on vimeo. It becomes a first-person slideshow adventure game inspired by the Myst series. The Story "You're an astronaut sent to repair an old satellite. You just finished your mission when you notice a mysterious black cube drifting near you. You're totally hypnotized by this thing and suddenly jump in the space, breaking your security cable ! That's crazy, you seem to have forgotten all the dangers here, and when you finally catch this cube... your oxygen is low and you have no way to go back !!! But strangely, to you, the most important is that you have this Cube in your arms, and that you won't drop it until you're dead ! It now seems so important and fascinating... "' Click here . . . . | Hi everyone, I'm the author of this game ! Gelert, thanks for talking of it here on Adventure Point ! I think you didn't mention the homepage of ASA in your presentation, did you ? Or is it me who can't click on the pictures ? Anyway here it is : aspaceadventure.fr As it is explained, the game is only 6 euros, because it is made by a single person (me) with Adventure Maker. Those who prefer can find it for $7.99 on indievania. If you decide to buy the game, then thanks a lot for your support which will help me to create new projects in the future. Also, don't forget to install the all new 1.1 patch available on the "updates" page. It will fix minor bugs submitted by other players. I'll try to come here from time to time to read your questions, if you have some, and if possible bring answers Have fun ! Edit : no sorry, it works now when I click on the link and pictures... | |

| Windows only, sorry But I'm thinking of it... Natively, Adventure Maker is for PC, but I think it must be possible to build a Mac version of ASA. I absolutely don't know if it will come someday, but I'll tell you ! The system requirements are visible on the site, either by clicking the "paypal direct buy" button, or by clicking the "indievania" button. | |

Thats exactly why I made up the list Miss Mindy. Not necessarily for those of us who long for games like these but for those who don't. Congratulations Simon on your first Review.

| Hi! I didn't say hallo since a long time... As usual, it has been a very hot summer in Rome (well, I should say it's still a very hot summer). I've just finished ASA and I need to say that it has been a great gaming experience! I loved every minute of it... it seemed to be back to good ol' times! Simon's puzzles are extremely interesting, pleasant and logic, the story is great and the environments are stunning! If anyone who loved the Myst series and good puzzle games hasn't played it yet I strongly recommend to get it and enjoy it's beautiful and intriguing gameplay! No one will be defeated. I loved it!!! | |

| Nice to meet you hatshepsut Yes, I'm finding some fresh air at night... luckily I work at home with my times, so I can decide when to sleep and when be awake, especially when the others are on holiday I'm trying to promote ASA as I can! The good thing is that a nice guy has released an italian patch on Desura in cooperation with Simon; the bad thing is that, given how few puzzle-games are release since sometime, gamers are loosing their tuning with the genre... too bad. Have a nice end of summer! | |

| Since the release of ASA: A Space Adventure Simon had been working very hard on a new game that would have taken place before the ASA game, The Black Tower. A prequel so to speak the only diference was that it was going to be a third person RPG. He wanted to make a bigger game and had brought on some help. Even tried crowd funding that failed. Unfortunately he and the team had to give up on this ambitious project. You can read the sad story HEREHopeful news though at the end of the blog for us adventurers reads... - Quote :
- For the moment, I will go back to making things all by myself, without crowdfunding. The result will be certainly less ambitious, less rewardful, but there's less trouble in making art that way. I have to think of my personal future : will I go back to directing short films ? Will I persevere in making games ? Maybe I will think of a sequel to ASA: A Space Adventure. I would make it with another software, to avoid the previous issues, and also more realistic. Or maybe an all new point'n click, 3rd person ?
All I hope is that most of you will keep following my work, even if it's not a J-RPG. I'll let you know when I'm ready to share something new :)Thanks for reading, and talk to you soon !

| Thanks GreyFuss! I've read about all Simon's projects and I could see that he is very good at many skills as writing stories, making excellent movies and CG, drawing, and, as he demonstrated in ASA,... creating beautiful great logic puzzles! I was very sad to hear that he had to put aside his project about TBT and I hope that some day he'll be able to go back at it. Honestly, from my personal, selfish point of view, I'm not fond of RPG and I'd love to see a sequel to ASA or another game in its style, but I wish Simon the best luck in whatever he likes best and can attain all the success he deserves! | |
