I remember that the first screenshot is very untypical of the usual game backgrounds. That doesn't help much!

I can't believe I missed the first shot from Starship Titanic, Gelert! It was naggingly familiar, but I just couldn't remember where I saw it.
That screenshot is very familiar, GreyFuss. I think it's from Ring: Legend of the Nibelungen.
