| I reckon you're right JK. But where do we get the screenshots (or stills), from? I haven't found any good sources, especially for older films. Any tips on good websites SuperEdy? | |

| Here's one site I found, Gelert that gives permission if we name the site when we post: "LEGAL: the contents of this weblog ONLY may be used elsewhere if the source www.moviescreenshots.blogspot.com is clearly mentioned." | |

| Is posting screenshots from movies different from posting screens from games then? | |

I don't know. I should, I suppose. But I don't. I DO think movie companies are richer than the majority of game companies though, and film stills are not as easy to find on major websites as I would have thought. Why can that be? Legality? IMDB, for instance, doesn't have loads of film stills of all its movies. Does it? That's why I'm cautious.

| There are a lot a links in IMDb, Gelert, choose the film you want, follow the Photographs link under External Links (or video clips for the trailer) at the bottom left of the page Another way is to just search for "name of the movie" in Google Images, as you probably know you can look for images and videos with Google Many fora have a movie screenshot thread and there are even sites where people can guess other people's screenshots (like whatthemovie.com), so it's nothing new - jkeerie wrote:

| It's a 1954 movie. It's neither of those actors, but it's an English movie based on a famous stage play.
The elderly looking actor is more commonly known for starring in comedy films. Especially the famous Ealing Studios' comedies.

| Hi JK! Yes! Honestly, if you liked Witness For The Prosecution, I promise you that you'll like this film. It's a cracker. Don't read too much about the plot beforehand though. Gelert. | |

| Gelert, I saw the play An Inspector Calls in London in the mid-1990s. Margaret Tyzak played the mother, and Barry Foster of the Van der Valk tv mysteries played the inspector. It was a spectacular set and a great story. I'll have to rent the movie, which I haven't seen. | |

| I remember Barry Foster. I think he'd have played the part well. Mind you, Alistair Sim was a genius. | |
